Wyatt Update

Here's my cutie patootie! I think he actually looks a little like Brit in the left picture... they do have the same eyes and cheeks :) In his blue shirt last night Wyatt was insisting on standing up while holding onto the couch... although he can't pull himself up yet. And here he is in the highchair today for like an hour stuffing his face with his favorite tasty treat :) I always hold him when feeding him but I had this revelation that an 8 month old can certainly sit in the highchair... so I think Morgan will have to finally graduate to making his messes at the table with us... lol I know he is way too old to still be in the highchair but he likes it and it contains the messes he makes so ya stop snickering!

Never a dull moment!

Morgan loves to where jacket/sweatshirt hoods when its "Chilwee" (chilly) outside... and he was wearing this sweatshirt the other day without one... such a dilemma! So Morgan thought of an obvious solution and forced it to have a hood... Isn't he so clever? My child is a genius... nothing new I know! My mom and I thought it was adorable and took a picture.

This adorable monster that crawls all over the place was found here at the bottom of the stairs with determination in his little eyes to start climbing.... 8 months people! So we are breakin out the baby gates

Meet superman and batman!!! AKA Morgan and Aden. They wanted capes to fly around the house... morgan yelling "I batman!" "I superman!" "swoooosh" "swoosh!" it's never a dull moment in the Smith household with these boys!

So my amazing, talented Husband made this gorgeous one of a kind entertainment center and the picture truely doesn't do it justice! Its a 'tiffany blue' color and it is so amazing that I just had to share it! This particular piece was delivered to a cute home in Petaluma. Anyways just thought you might want to see what he's been up to!

Baby Dedications

A Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes entire families, make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God's will and to raise that child according to God's Word and God's ways.

Responsibilities Involved: Christian parents who dedicate a child are making a promise to the Lord to do everything within their power to raise the child in a godly way, prayerfully until he or she can make a decision on his or her own to follow God. Parents who make this vow of commitment are instructed to raise the child in the ways of God, and not according to their own ways. Some of the responsibilities include teaching and training the child in God's Word, demonstrating an example of godliness, disciplining according to God's ways, and praying earnestly for the child.

An Example of Baby Dedication in Scripture
And she (Hannah) made a vow, saying, "O LORD Almighty, if you will only look upon your servant's misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head." 1 Samuel 1:11
(NIV)

When God answered Hannah's prayer by giving her a son, she remembered her vow:
"As surely as you live, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you praying to the LORD. I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD." And he worshiped the LORD there. 1 Samuel 1:26-28
(NIV)
Morgan Daniel Smith and Wyatt Lee Smith are dedicated to the Lord on Febuary 9, 2008.

Morgan's 'The Darndest...'

Since Blogging has become like a journal of memories, I just wanted to remember some of the many things the kids like to say and do. I've made a huge list for Morgan and am working on one for Brittni but since she is older and I have a bad 'remembry' (Jenny used to say that) Her list prolly won't be as long. And I'll start one for Wyatt too... I can add to the list as I remember more and they do more cute stuff... I don't expect everyone to read all these but I just want them documented.... Thanks for the great idea Roskelley's!

Here's Morgan's Darndest list (so far)...

• Says: “You kiddin me?” … while gritting his teeth… kinda mean-like.

• Uses tape measure like daddy to measure everything and it ALL measures to exactly 4829… or as Morgan says “forty
eight two-nine mommy!” That number is used to describe time sometimes as well.

• Makes a fist and marches his arm across his chest and very darkly states “I BATMAN mommy!” Or very cheerily will say “I Fly, superman mommy!” Sometimes he’s also spiderman. When flying there is always a swoooosh…. Swoosh sound.

• Has used Wyatt’s hammer toy to “make cabnets mommy” as he says by clanking the walls, doors, and furniture.

• If Wyatt is asleep and makes any noise within earshot of Morgan he yells “Wyatt’s waking mommy!” Which then wakes Wyatt up if he is still asleep.

• To any noise he hears, he says “What’s that noising?”

• Yells “HI AIRPLANE! Or HI HELICOPTER” to each one he sees in the sky.

• Gave Jenny’s cat Smokey Joe the nickname Jo-Jo.

• He says this is everyone lately but here is an example from the other day when we saw Jo-Jo outside “Hi Jo-Jo…It’s me! Mo-gen…I right here!!!”

• Tells Wyatt “No cryins Wyatt.” Most of the time gently but sometimes with annoyance.

• When he is in trouble and whinning/crying he starts rubbing or drying his eyes and says to me “mommy I no more cryins… I no more cryins…” like that will get him out of punishment.

• When he was about 1 year old and Dan was working day and night I showed Morgan a picture of Dan and said give daddy kisses… Morgan then ran to the front door and kissed the door. Dan cut way back after that because it really broke his heart.

• Wyatt woke up from a nap at Nana’s house and was crying the pack n play…. Morgan immediately put his hand up like a stop sign to me and said “ I get him!” then ran to go get Wyatt.

• At the airport he runs down the terminal and jumps on Brittni like a spider-monkey with arms and legs wrapped around her.

• The other day he was ready for a nap and started crying because he wanted to know where Brittni was and kept telling me to go to the airport. I told him she was at her mommy’s house and he was telling me “NO!” and sobbed uncontrollably till he past out like 3 minutes later

• The other day he told me “I goin to the store mommy”… and was asking for my keys. I asked him what he was getting at the store and he said “Ummmmm, I get soooome fruitbars…. And some oatmeal…” he was very serious.

• Also asked me one day for my keys, put his backpack on and told me “I go airport mommy… get Brittni.” I gave him my keys and he went into the garage.

• With his backpack or an invisible one he holds the straps on his shoulders and shows us his “rescue pack” (Diego has one).

• Sometimes he wants to help carry Wyatt’s carseat and is so excited to call himself “I big helper!” He will also do this when he opens the door for me.

• Used to call all stores “Home Depot” or “Target” (Funny that’s daddys store and mommy’s store).

• Holds arms open wide and says “ I love you this much!”

• At night time he cons his way into our bed by giving me puppy eyes and telling me “snuggle mommy..” works every time! Likes to snuggle in the mornings too.

• Still signs ‘please’ by rubbing his tummy when he really wants something bad.

• Loves to watch my mom’s gardener Rene work in the yard.

• Used push his car/bike around the house to climb on tables, desk, everything.

• Used to dance to Law and Order… Criminal Intent was his favorite. Would drop everything for this.

• Insists that handy Manny is really Handy Bandy.

Over the River and threw the woods...

We took a lil trip to my granparents house this afternoon with my mom to have a nice visit. My granma had surgery recently for her back and I was so happy to see how well she looked! More happy than I have seen in a while! We talked, worked on a puzzle and fed Wyatt about 10 bottles (moooooody boy today)... We had so much fun and can't wait to see them again on Saturday along with our other family members ... thats a future blog I'm sure!

Wyatt with his great granpa... He would only eat his bottle sitting up and then he wanted to stand up ... one of his favorite things to do for what seems like hours :D
Morgan eating Great granpa's "Choc-lot" pudding
Morgan sharing with Nana... notice how his mouth is open as he is feeding her... just like I do when I feed the kids ... LOL

He loves to pose for the camera and says "smiiillle"

This is the best pic I have so far of Wyatt's vampire fangs! Too funny :D

Kicked it's 'booty'!!!!

So today was the end of radiation! YAY! Fyi, that is supposed to be a breast cancer ribbon and the words say "kicked it's ASS!" Cause thats what my mom did...

We are all really proud of the positive attitude she has had throughout this battle and we always knew she was stronger than this disease! Stupid cancer didn't have anything on her! I hope it learned that it can't mess with her or her family!!!
