We were all excited and ready to post the most amazing news ever but sadly that is not what is going to happen. Papers were signed and we were in contract to buy the house of our dreams on 3 whole acres and even with a barn that we were planning to turn into our workshop. The appraisal was on Monday and the underwritting was getting started. We were going to know this week for sure if it would be ours....
Well, I woke up at 8 am on monday morning to find my amazing husband home from work.... sadly he was laid off along with 3 of his work buddies. And in these times you would think that we would not have been shocked.... but we were. The work that was lined up, almost promised, for them is no longer there. Although we are very sad (Dan especially) we are sooooo BLESSED that we do have our sidework that we can focus on. We aren't worried about our income, maybe because we saw the most amazing testimony at church on Easter of a couple that is continuing to go through tough times but are still making it. We just are EXTREMELY sad that we will no longer be able to purchase the property for our kids and us. I feel horrible for the other employees (Dan's friends) families. PLEASE pray for them and that they will not struggle as so many families out there are. We are also blessed that we have my family. As much as we want a place of our own it looks like this is where we will continue to stay until we establish to the "loan-powers-that-be" that we can be responsible homeowners.
We are of course sad but we are also excited that we will have much more time with Dan. We can help him more and go sell at more antique shows. And if anyone out there needs ANY furniture please let us give you quality work for an amazing price!!

We have an Artiest in the family
Is obsessed with coloring all over Nana and Grandpas house. Do you see this look of devastation on this boys face after he got caught? I barely had to saying anything and he was sobbing cuz he KNEW he was being bad!! lol ... Well he wasn't THAT sorry about it cuz I found him again drawing green on the walls in his room today...at least that one wasn't permanent!
Happy Easter!
We have all sinned and deserve God's judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.
Dying the eggs for the easter bunny to come tonight and hide them
Wyatt was so much better than I thought he would be and he fell asleep on Daddy (I took the pics after the movie was way over)

Sacramento Zoo and Fairy Tale town
We were so excited to go to the zoo on Monday! My aunt Becky and Uncle Steve came up with my cousins Julia (8) and Rachel (6). Plus we have Brittni for 2 weeks and they all love eachother so much!! Brittni was so excited when I told her they were here to visit because she missed them dearly last year at camping! We had so much fun!
On the way to the zoo I sat in the back with the boys so my mom could sit up front.
The cutest Lemur ever! I so want him... "I shall call him squishy!"
Looking at the animals
One of my favorites
Don't even ask about what these nasty-ass monkeys were doing... don't let this cute pick fool you. There are a couple screws loose.

Another group pic with a red panda
This was the most exciting exhibit for my boys...
Over to fairy tale town...
This is the VERY high Owl's slide that Dan allowed our son to climb by himself!! I was freaking out and he got to the top and just sat... I said 'Slide down Wyatt' ... he just looked at me and cooly said 'uh-uh' and just continued to sit till Brit got to him...

And the crooked mile which was my favorite as a kid and let me tell you it was WAY bigger when I was small :)

my FAVORITE! Flamingos
Then Brit saved his life and brought him down the slide
The old womans shoe...
He was fine with the beanstalk slide
What's Cookin??
This all took place a few weeks ago but I am posting it now. I bought a new healthy cooking light cookbook and we had a blast making pizza and chili.
